The Nissan Foundation was established in 1992 in the Los Angeles area in response to increasing social challenges and community unrest. With a strong presence in California, Nissan sought to support local communities through charitable contributions and civic engagement. Over the years, the foundation has provided funding to schools, media organizations, libraries, and cultural institutions nationwide. Its grants emphasize promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness, particularly in communities that are often underserved.

In collaboration with Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Company, Nissan Motor unveiled the 230 and 244 Z Racing Concept cars. Both vehicles are based on the new Nissan Z sports model. The two racing concept cars were unveiled at the ENEOS Super Takiu 24-hour endurance race at Fuki Speedway on June 4 and 5, 2022.
