What's New For the 2021 Nissan Armada?
Modest but comprehensive changes await fans of the Nissan Armada in 2021. This year, the large luxury SUV improves its mechanical system to offer more power and efficiency with an upgraded engine and a new automatic transmission. The Armada brings a fresh styling update to the streets and elegant redesigned front and rear fascias. The Armada's interior has some notable changes in 2021, too, including a new 12-inch touchscreen display available on some trim levels. Across the board, LED lights are added to all trims of the Armada this year.
Available Features in the 2021 Nissan Armada
Aside from its bold new LED headlights and LED lighting in the back, the SV's exterior, which is the base trim, is otherwise unchanged. The SV has attractive 18-inch wheels to start that has a luxurious alloy finish. Larger 20-inch wheels are standard on the second trim, and you can upgrade to impressive 22-inch wheels through a package for the top trim.
Standard technology on the Armada is an eight-inch display that carries over from 2020. However, you can also get a larger 12-inch display on the higher-end trims that are newly redesigned for 2021. A premium sound setup for the Armada includes a Bose stereo, satellite radio, and HD radio. Lighting for the front and back steps is added to the second and third trims, respectively. The second trim has leather seats and a 120V outlet, while the Platinum has heated front-row seats and a sunroof.
How Much Power Does the Armada Have?
The Nissan Armada is driven by a V8 engine in 2021. The engine delivers nearly 400 HP for a maximum speed of 120 MPH. The engine is now attached to a nine-speed automatic transmission that replaces the previous seven-speed transmission. As before, you still have the option of four-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive is standard.

More safety technology is added to the Armada this year, including a forward mitigation system and radar-assisted cruise control. Traction control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking are also included through the Nissan Safety Shield package.
