What's New For the 2022 Nissan Altima?

Just a few changes have been made to the 2022 Nissan Altima this year, including a new Midnight Edition package. It provides dark accents on the exterior of the vehicle, but it's only available for the SR trim level. If you choose the SV Premium package for your Altima, that package now includes heated mirrors on the exterior and LED turn signals.

2022 Nissan Altima Trims & Features

There are a few different trim levels to take into consideration for the 2022 Nissan Altima. The base model S is the most affordable, though it comes with very basic and minimal features. Unlike other vehicles in its class, you can opt for a VC-Turbo variety if you're interested in more performance. The most affordable and beneficial option is the SR trim level, which comes with a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded 19-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital gauge cluster, and a power-controlled eight direction driver's seat. If you add on the Premium package to any of your trim levels, you get heated mirrors on the exterior, heated front seats as well as a sunroof.

2022 Nissan Altima Horsepower

The standard engine under the hood of the 2022 Nissan Altima is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that provides 188 horsepower. It's paired with a continuously variable transmission. If you choose the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged variety, you get 248 horsepower when you use premium fuel at the gas pump. If you're looking for all-wheel drive, you'll have to choose the 2.5-liter engine.

2022 Nissan Altima Safety

Every 2022 Nissan Altima trim level is equipped with forward-collision warning technology and automatic emergency braking. If you choose the SV trim level or higher, you also get standard blind-spot monitoring, high beam headlight-assist, and rear-cross traffic alerts.
