What's New For the 2020 Nissan Kicks?
The current design of the Nissan Kicks started with the 2018 edition of the SUV. 2020 builds on that design by adding several different safety tech elements, which are also known as active safety. Lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring-- these features are designed to let you see more of what is happening around you so you can stay safe. These features were optional in older model years but now are standard in all versions of the 2020 Kicks.
What Are the 2020 Nissan Kicks Trims & Features?
There are three available trims for the Kicks in 2020. The entry-level trim is the S. It is the least expensive and does have all of the active safety techs that have been made standard for 2020. If you go up to the SV, however, you can get the NissanConnect suite of infotainment software, which includes smartphone connectivity. It also has a few convenience features like a remote start. The top trim is the SR. The SR has a set of surround cameras for parking, and there's also a Premium package that upgrades the sound system, adds leather highlights, and gives heating to the front seats.

What's Under the Hood of the Nissan Kicks?
The Nissan Kicks has just one available engine in 2020. It is rated for 122 horsepower and is an automatic transmission. While it isn't sporty, it still has all the power you need for overtaking and passing on highways or moving through traffic on city or suburban roads. The handling is smooth and responsive. One of the biggest attractions of the 2020 Kicks is the great gas mileage. The engine is light and efficient, netting a surprising 36 MPG on highways and 31 in cities. That's significantly above average for this class of vehicle.
Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020
The biggest draw for the safety of the Kicks in 2020 is the new safety tech. Last year the Kicks got good ratings for its safety, and the addition of the new technology helps the driver avoid trouble before it develops. The fact that it is all available in the full range of trims means every buyer gets access to it. The sole exception is the camera system, which is only for parking, not for driving.
