The 2023 MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Awards winners have been announced, and the Nissan Z has been named the "Best Sport Coupe." It comes as no surprise to drivers familiar with this vehicle, which blends an iconic style with modern performance. The MotorWeek Drivers' Choice Awards have been done annually for 42 years, earning the respect of car enthusiasts everywhere.

 

The Nissan Z GT4 debuted at the 2022 SEMA show recently. The new vehicle is based on the popular Nissan Z but has been modified for racing. A 3.8-liter V6 engine powers it. The Z GT4 is designed to compete in the GT4 class and is expected to be a popular choice among racers.
 

It's been recently confirmed that Nissan with stop making the Nissan Maxima sometime around the middle of 2023.

End of the Maxima

The current configuration has been on the market for seven or so years, and the current one out is the 8th generation of this particular sedan. One thing that could happen in the future, however, is that one of Nissan's upcoming electric models could end up using this name. That would be something new, however, and not a true Maxima as it exists now.

The Nissan Certified Pre-Owned program allows customers to buy pre-owned vehicles that are adequately checked by the company. Usually, Nissan inspects and reconditions these vehicles before availing them to customers.

Customers face a reduced risk when they buy these certified pre-owned vehicles than when they go for non-certified vehicles sold by individuals. Nissan-certified cars go through a 167-point comprehensive inspection conducted by a Nissan-trained technician.

 

Nissan approved its first bi-directional charger for the Nissan LEAF. It is a groundbreaking development for the electric vehicle market. It opens up new possibilities for how LEAF owners can use their cars. Owners use this system to charge their vehicles with electricity from the grid. They can also send power back to the grid when they aren't using their cars. It will make it easier for LEAF owners to take advantage of the benefits. Electric vehicle ownership is on the rise.

 

After 42 years, the Nissan Maxima is no more. The automaker has announced that it will discontinue the sedan.

The move is part of a broader strategy to focus on electric cars and SUVs. The Maxima played a significant part in our history. But Nissan decided to focus their resources on other areas.
