Specs at a Glance

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is a large and stylish SUV that has three rows of seats. The Nissan Pathfinder has a total capacity for seven people, and it stands out for a few top qualities, including a quiet ride and exceptional towing power. The Nissan Pathfinder gets a round of changes in 2022, including refreshed styling inside and out. While the Pathfinder had impressive towing power, to begin with, it has a stronger powertrain this year that gives it more power as well. A revised suspension system in the Pathfinder also translates to a smoother and more comfortable ride. The Pathfinder lineup is the same in 2022 as it was in 2021. There are four trims available for this year's Pathfinder, starting with the base model called the S. The second trim in the lineup, which is the SV, still provides exceptional value while adding on a few additional features.

Performance

Performance is the same in the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder, no matter which trim level you get. The 2022 Pathfinder is powered by a V6 engine with a 3.5L displacement. The engine can crank out 284 HP in maximum power, and it is capable of 260 LB-FT in torque. The Nissan comes with a nine-speed automatic for its transmission on all trims. You'll get a standard front-wheel drive with the S and SL, but you can also choose to get an all-wheel drive as an alternative. The Nissan still retains its class-leading towing ratings of up to 6,000 pounds in 2022, which is more than most other midsize SUVs provide.

Appearance

The Nissan Pathfinder has a stylish new look in 2022, with some changes to its interior and exterior design. A two-tone color roof is available to enhance the Nissan's appearance. It has standard LED headlights beginning with the S. The SV adds a few additional exterior amenities, including heated outer mirrors and a towing kit. A power liftgate is available on this trim level with a package, and you can get a panoramic sunroof as well.

Features

Seating for eight is standard on the S and SV, but you can switch to captain's chairs and seating for seven with the SV instead. A push-button ignition system comes with the S, which also has a proximity key entry mechanism. For technology, the S has three zones of climate control and an eight-inch touchscreen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard. The SV adds heated front seats and a leather steering wheel. Rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control all come standard.
