Even though the holidays are over, we’re still in the spirit of giving. Join us in helping those in need at our upcoming blood drive, where you can kick off the New Year by making a life-saving donation. Mark your calendars for Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, when we’ll be hosting our drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Blood donations are always desperately needed; in fact, only about 10 percent of those eligible to donate actually do. Even if you’ve recently made a donation within the last few months, you can donate again as long as it’s been the appropriate amount of time. It’s safe after eight weeks if you’ve given a whole blood donation or after 16 weeks if you’ve given a Power Red donation.
Every 2 seconds someone needs blood. It could be for a life-saving transfusion after an accident or for those battling diseases like sickle cell and cancer. Making a blood donation has a huge impact not only on blood recipients, but also on their friends and family.
If you would like to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a great cause, don’t miss the upcoming blood drive at Gwinnett Place Nissan. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and have a meal before arriving to make your donation. We hope to see you there!
