This just in: Nissan is electrifying the Rogue series with a new hybrid model!

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid comes at an interesting time in the auto industry; a time when there’s been A LOT of talk about hybrid and electric cars, as well as future fuel-efficiency mandates.

FUEL ECONOMY
So how many miles per gallon will the Rogue Hybrid achieve? Current estimates from Nissan are 33 mpg city, 35 mpg highway and 34 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive versions of the SUV, and 31 / 34 / 33 for all-wheel-drive models.

POWER RATINGS
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid utilizes a 2.0-liter aluminum-alloy four-cylinder engine, electric motor and lightweight lithium-ion battery. Drivers will receive 176 horsepower combined with this advanced hybrid powertrain. The engine is paired with an Xtronic transmission that includes manual-shift capability as well as Sport and Eco driving modes.

FEATURES
No official details have been released, but we expect the model will receive most of the amenities found on the top-tier gas-only Nissan Rogue, which is available in S, SV and SL trim levels. If the hybrid received the SL’s features, it would include equipment such as Bluetooth, remote keyless start, a rearview camera, satellite radio, heated mirrors, a power liftgate, leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, navigation, Siri Eyes Free and more.

In addition, Nissan says that both the Rogue and Rogue Hybrid will have freshened styling inside and out, as well as added safety and driver-assist features.

Nissan plans to release the new model in states across the nation starting at the end of the year, so keep an eye out for the 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid in the Atlanta area this winter! To see how the 2017 Rogue Hybrid compares to the gas-only 2017 Rogue, check out the graph below.
